Biography

Adrià Cisneros Abril is a Spanish euphonium player based in Amsterdam who is currently studying classical euphonium, but with a growing interest in exploring the possibilities of making music with electronic accompaniment.
 

He’s currently cursing his first year of a master’s degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with professors Perry Hoogendijk (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and Rodin Rosendahl (Concertband of the Royal Navy). Before this, he finished his bachelor's degree in the Liceu Conservatory of Barcelona with tuba teacher Juan Bautista Doménech Fuentes.

 

Adrià has experience playing in different wind and brass bands as well as chamber groups like quartet and quintet of tubas, wind ensembles and as a soloist.

In addition to this, he won the Young Promises Ferrer-Salat scholarship in 2017, which paid the first two years of his bachelor’s degree in The Liceu Conservatory Foundation. Apart from that, he became second in the employment agency in the band La Pamplonesa in 2019, won the second prize in the Odin International Music Online Competition in the category of winds in 2021 and became second in the AETyB online competition in 2021.
